A good part of YSI SEA and Interseed was largely driven by the amazing ground up eco friendly support that we managed to secure throughout Southeast Asia featuring players from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and many more that are eager to be a part of a thriving sustainability community achieving SDG goals.
Here are some amazing highlights of what has been done in 2019 we have more to come as we grow our eco community on a track to environmental sustainability and social sustainability!

Environmental Sustainability with Brunei on the way to Sustainable Living!
#PTETinda Payahplastic Roadshow x fundraiser, and trash challenge (river cleanup) was hosted by Sri Nur'Ain Qaisara from Brunei.
#PTETinda Payahplastic Roadshow x fundraiser is a wonderful collaboration event with student councils of Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong, Brunei and Bruneian youth delegates from GCNS Youth Forum in Singapore.
The event, called “#PTETindapayahplastic” in Bruneian slang which directly translates to “PTET doesn’t need plastic”!
The goal of the event is to promote “Zero Waste” lifestyle amongst people in our community and eventually build a sustainable future for Brunei and its community such as diverting the focus to sustainable products in self-sustainable communities.
The highlights of the event:
Educational videos and awareness posters focusing on plastic pollution adverse effects on environment, responsible consumption, proper usage and disposal of single-use plastics, environmental conservation and sustainability, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Educational and interactive games
Bring your own tumblers
Profit gained from the event donated to a local NGO “Reef Check”!
(Also they had booths set up to feature delectable cuisine such as Mee Goreng, Cucur Pisang (Banana Fritters), and Teh C Special! Yum! Also metal straws were given out in partnership with local business strawbyflowydowy)
The event was sparked by a viral challenge on Twitter called #TrashChallenge where participants snap a before and after picture of an environment that has been littered and will be cleaned up. (I'd imagine the 2021 edition comes with a fancy and fun tiktok dance. happy to participate with you all)
Qaisara roped in youths to help clean up Pantai Seri Kenangan (Seri Kenangan Beach) of the Tutong District in Brunei and they covered around a kilometer of the east side of the beach.
Two hours later, trash that were found include plastic materials such as bottles, containers, etc, glasses, baby clothing, slippers... even a tyre was even found (I'm sure we are all getting tired of hearing about such incidents happening to our beaches).
They finished the day with 13 bags with each bag weighting from 5 to 9 kg!!!
What a day!
